This fine art counted cross stitch pattern, entitled Ducks on a Reed Pond, designed from a painting by Alexander Koester, shows four white ducks grouped on a pond, while there are two others in the distance. The reeds in the pond have laid a thick layer of shelter for the ducks who might seek relief from the blazing sun or act as a cover to hide them from intruders. The ducks in the foreground seem to be feeding on something and are oblivious to any surrounding disturbances or onlookers. In any case, the ducks in this scene seem to be content with their surroundings. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
