This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled A Welsh Cornfield designed from a painting by Benjamin Williams Leader shows a woman, her child and their accompanying dog in a cornfield where the mother is harvesting corn and tying up the stalks. It is a bright and sunny day, and the sun shines on the cornstalks, turning them into bright yellow and golden bundles. The ground and other vegetation are preparing for autumn, the final season before winter, when everything rests or dies off only to begin anew in spring. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
