This fantasy counted cross stitch pattern entitled Easter Egg as a Work of Art shows an exquisitely beautiful Easter egg in the center with a mural of landscapes painted on the front depicting a cathedral with a cross on the steeple. Meanwhile, nearby Easter eggs in various solid colors are suspended in perpetual motion surrounding the center egg in a circular pattern as if we are viewing a large solar system with the main egg representing Earth and the other surrounding eggs as planets. The presentation is unusual and possibly surreal, but the collection of colors seeks to expand one’s mind to comprehend an alternative form of visual art expression. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
