This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Autumn Woods I designed from a painting by Albert Bierstadt shows a scene of the woods inflamed with the fiery breathtaking colors of autumn. To the left we see a grove of trees in various shades of crimson, orange and mauve fading into purple separated by a lake that shows the reflection of colors. And to the right we see a dark grove of very tall trees much closer shielded by dark shades with a brilliant breakthrough of color in the middle. The sky is a mixture of color indicative of the glorious shades of color on display in the trees. For fall color, this scene is absolutely stunning, and the artist went out of his way to bring attention to the shades of fall. This particular scene is a sister picture of Autumn Woods II which is also available on our website. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect
