This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Autumn Alley designed from a painting by Walter Moras shows a peaceful country road carpeted in fallen leaves, where the golden canopy of mature trees creates a natural tunnel leading toward a distant village. In creating this piece, Moras wanted to emphasize the fleeting, melancholic beauty of late autumn and the way low-lying sunlight can set the landscape aglow with warmth. The visual palette is a rich, nostalgic collection of burnt oranges, deep russets, and brilliant ambers, all softly diffused by a hazy, atmospheric light that softens the silhouettes of the nearby farmhouses. This pattern is for nature and landscape lovers like myself who appreciate the quiet, reflective mood of the changing seasons and the meticulous, lifelike textures of 19th-century German Realism. The scene captures the essence of a cool October afternoon, where the crisp air is scented with the earthy fragrance of damp leaves.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
