This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Portrait of Bia Medici designed from a painting by Agnolo Bronzino shows a formal portrait of Bia Medici who was the illegitimate daughter of Cosimo I de Medici, member of the powerful Medici dynasty.  Here his five-year-old daughter proudly wears a necklace with a medallion of her father's picture around her neck.  She is dressed in white formal wear, pearl earrings and necklace and has rosy cheeks with a impish smile.  Her formal first name was Bianca, but she was called Bia for short.  She has reddish hair cut short, and is posing against a background that has hues of blue, purple and green.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
