This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Leisure Hours, designed from a painting by John Everett Millais, shows two high-society girls dressed in velvet dresses reclining on the floor. They watch three large goldfish swim around in circles in a fishbowl. Something tells us that leisure time for them is a common occurrence outside busying themselves with schoolwork, making connections, and social gatherings. Notice the ornate wallpaper in the background. The colors are dark, rich tones that symbolize a sort of boldness, wealth, and status. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
