This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled La Fille Du Peintre (Daughter of the Painter) designed from a painting by Charles Joshua Chaplin shows a portrait of the painter's daughter dressed in a white dress with ruffles and a matching headband. She is holding a basket on her arm of pink and red roses and has a pleasant look on her face. She has large soulful brown eyes and a natural pink flush to her cheeks. The background is interesting in that it starts out dark (almost black) at the top and fades to light blue towards the bottom. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
