This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The New Church at the Spui as Seen from the East designed from a painting by Bartholomeus van Bassen shows the Church of Spui in the center of the city.  The townspeople are engaged in their duties and in socializing with each other.  The architecture of the church is beautiful and uncommon, and looks very striking against the blue sky.  The church dates back to 1656 and is one of the oldest buildings in the city.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
