This architecture counted cross stitch pattern entitled Abbaye de Fontenay shows an abbey located in France, Founded in 1118, it is hailed as one of the oldest abbeys in Europe. Built in Romanesque style, The abbey is used to house monks, and nearly all of the original buildings have been retained and are intact. If you want to stitch an interesting piece of historical architecture, this would be the image to stitch. No blended colors are used in our patterns. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect. Only full cross stitches are used in our designs.
