This animal counted cross stitch pattern entitled Beautiful Barbary Monkey shows a closeup of a monkey (also called the Barbary macaque) that is native to the Atlas mountains of Algeria and Morocco. Males live 25 years and females up to 30 years of age. They dine on flowers, fruits, nuts and berries to name a few foods. Notice the beautiful rainbow of colors in this monkey's face. It's fur looks so silky and it is truly a beautiful species. No blended colors are used in our patterns. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect. Only full cross stitches are used in our designs.
