This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Princess Yelizaveta Saltykova designed from a painting by Karl Briullov shows the princess looking as serene as ever holding a large plume of peacock feathers on a stick to fan herself from the stifling heat. She is wearing a satin gown with a lavender bodice and a blue satin overlay with a white satin inlay. She also has a red shawl trimmed in black lace. Next to her on the left is a collection of tall potted plants that give her space an air of privacy. She lived in Italy and was a close friend to the artist. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
