This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Partly Cloudy in Garmisch designed from a painting by Johann Heinrich Burkel shows drenching rain in a neighborhood with the weather producing so much rain that there is a flashflood creating a path through the landscape. The rain has soaked everything in its path, and the homes are so wet that they appear to be waterlogged. Even in this situation, there is beauty in the color of the sky, the rain pouring off the spouts on the homes. Everything that lives and breathes is getting a lifeforce of water in this scene. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
