This flower counted cross stitch pattern entitled Still Life of Flowers designed from a painting by Cornelis van Spaendonck shows a golden pitcher filled with flowers that is sitting on a platform. The background is dark in shades of black and dark green to give the flowers a more dramatic effect. An additional red vase is seen on the left which holds a large-leafed plant. The texture is definitely notable. This pattern would be a good one to stitch for any formal setting or area of distinction such as a dining room or hallway. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
