This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Scene in Front of the Temple Vesta designed from a painting by Johann Heinrich Burkel shows people gathered outside the Temple of Vesta.  Vesta was a goddess worshiped and attended to by the vestal virgins whose job it was to keep the goddess's flames lit in the temple and to prepare ritual food for the goddess.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
