This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Red Fan designed from a painting by Eugene de Blaas shows a woman leaning rather provocatively outside her window waving a fan that is the color of deep crimson.  Not only does the redness of the fan get our attention, but her pose and stare makes us wonder what thoughts she is having, is she expecting a visitor, etc.  Her cheeks are flushed red matching her fan.  This scene piques our curiosity.  The colors used in this pattern are rich in tone and inviting.  Look at the interesting paisley effect of colors used in the gray wall on which she is resting her head.  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
