This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The City Wall of Haarlem in the Winter designed from a painting by Nicolaes Pieters Berchem shows the city wall of Haarlem. The sky is lovely yet dreary shade of bluish gray, and just below, two men are loading kegs onto a sled while others in the distance are playing a form of miniature golf. There is a touch of winter snow on the ground, and one cannot help wanting to seek refuge in the warmth of a well-lit fire inside. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
