This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Perseus Rescuing Andromeda designed from a painting by Giuseppe Cesari shows that according to Greek mythology, Perseus, the son of Zeus, is seen coming to the rescue Andromeda from the ferocious clutches of a sea monster.  Andromeda's back is up against a large boulder where she is trying to avoid being attacked and eaten by the sea monster, and Perseus wants nothing more than to swoop her up, carry her off (so great is his love for her) and make her his wife. The colors are bold and full of energy, and you can see the ocean in the background.  From there we can see how the sea monster has come up out of the ocean and is on dry land in hot pursuit of Andromeda, but he won't win his prize as Perseus has come to save the day!  Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
