This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled A Romantic Landscape with Mauritanian Ruins designed from a painting by Francois Antoine Bossuet shows a lovely sunlit day with the light and warmth from the sun shining over a hilly landscape where travelers have stopped to rest near ancient ruins. Although the rays of the sun are beautiful with everything bathed in it, those who travel in it are seeking shelter. In the distance one can see the faint shadows of a small city probably an hour worth of travel time to arrive there. The colors of the ruins are a brick red with grayish white while the leaves of the trees are ablaze from the sun. It's a glorious sight and a welcome sight to a weary traveler. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
