This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Birth of Venus designed from a painting by Francois Boucher shows a scene painted in Rococo style full of sensual tones. According to Greek mythology, Venus is said to have been derived out of the sea foam from the green ocean waters which has an exotic feel to it. Two cherubs and a large fish are seen in the water in close proximity to Venus. This scene is the artist's attempts to portray a celebration of both love and lust. The color green is used throughout the picture even tinting the skies with its color. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
