This waterscape counted cross stitch pattern entitled Venice, The Grand Canal designed from a painting by Bernado Bellotto, il Canaletto shows a very famous area in the City of Venice with motorboats and gondolas on the water of the canal. The sky is a deep azure on the left side and brightens to much lighter hues on the opposite side. The architecture is very beautiful, and it's easy to see why Venice ranks as one of the most beautiful places in the world with its rich history and spectacular architecture. It also is known as a place for romance, and it never fails to set the mood for such. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
