This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Star of Bethlehem designed from a painting by Sir Edward Coley Burne-Jones shows the manger scene with the Holy family celebrating the birth of Christ with the Three Kings. An angel is also present to witness this blessed event. The kings are all bearing gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh, and this is God's greatest gift to the world. The giving of gifts to the Christ child is why we as Christians participate in gift-giving on the birth of Jesus Christ, but we must not get caught up in the commercialism of giving and receiving and should still remember the true meaning and magnitude of why God sent his son to us, so that we may have eternal life. The color green dominates this scene and gives off positive energy with multiple colors on display. When stitched, this finished piece will be a masterpiece no doubt! Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
