This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled The Countess de Montholon designed from a painting by William Adolphe Bouguereau shows a French noblewoman standing outdoors in a beautiful blue and white gown that has a striped skirt, a blue sash tied into a bow at the back and diamond lattice-work on the bodice and sleeves. She is said to have been Napoleon's mistress during his exile, although she was married to Charles Tristan Montholon. The Countess had multiple marriages, and out of those marriages she gave birth to three sons and a daughter. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
