This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Fantastic Mountain Landscape designed from a painting by Paul Bril shows a beautiful dynamic landscape with an incredibly blue sky and mountains in the background. A bridge is shown with water rushing through in full vigor and rollicking froth. On top of large massive boulders sits what appears to be a castle and other buildings, conical in shape; and far below at the base of the boulder mass are people toiling in their daily tasks while some are taking a break and reclining under a large shade tree. The ruins of ancient structural columns are seen on the left which pique the interest of many as to what they used to be. After taking quite a lengthy examination of this scene, it is apparent that mastery of depth, perspective and color range were used with great skill by the artist and would make a fine stitched piece. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
