This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Christmas Morning, Hotel de Cluny designed from a painting by Edwin Deakin shows the historic medieval hotel at Christmastime, built in the style of a Gothic mansion and located over the site of ancient Roman Baths. The mansion is very stately with stained glass windows and heavy, rugged bricks used for the purpose of durability and to stand the tests of time. Brushes of snow are present on the prominent parts of the edifice, collecting at the base of the extended window ledge. The view is from the courtyard, where there is an inviting covered entrance. The light coming from inside the building evokes a sense of warmth and gaiety to know that Christmas is being celebrated inside. No blended colors are used. Instead, we use a variety of solid colors to achieve a more realistic effect.
