This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Still Life with Watermelon designed from a painting by William Mason Brown shows a still life of a ripe juicy watermelon sliced in half with sumptuous grapes cascading over the top of the melon and an apple and blackberries at the base joined by two large white calla lilies (Zantedeschia aethiopica). The leaves of the grapes form a rhythmic quality that creates graceful movement and beauty in the scene against the celery green background. This scene is ripe with color and would be a joy to stitch! Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
