This religious counted cross stitch pattern entitled Saint Augustine designed from a painting by Philippe de Champaigne shows Saint Augustine burning with the desire to know God and his word. He is holding a flaming heart in his hand and is gazing towards a divine ray of light with the words "Veritas" displayed in the light which means "the pursuit of divine truth and wisdom of God." The artist has taken the liberty of painting intricate patterns on the saint's robe and the cloth on the table in intricate detail. This pattern will require a great deal of patience, but when finished, it will be a masterpiece! Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
