This fine art counted cross stitch pattern entitled Flora and the Zephyrs designed from a painting by John William Waterhouse shows a scene in Greek mythology of Flora (goddess of flowers and spring) out in the garden being overwhelmed and courted by Zephyrs (god of wind and spring). He is truly smitten with Flora, and shows this by placing a ring of white flowers around her waist. The children in the garden are in a tranquil trance-like state so as to give Flora and Zephyr privacy. This is a very colorful pattern to stitch, and very lively too. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
