This religious counted cross stitch pattern entitled Christ in the Garden of Olives designed from a painting by Philippe de Champaigne shows Christ expressing distress in what is better known as the Garden of Gethsemane right before his crucifixion. An angel appears to offer some type of solace. While these events are taking place, the disciples are in the background sleeping and totally oblivious to what Christ is going through. But even in this difficult situation, his strength and determination do not waiver because he knows what he must do to fulfill God's divine order and destiny. Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. Instead, we only use an abundance of solid colors to produce a more realistic effect.
