Some floss organizers come with floss number stickers. Although
they are convenient to use, they never stay on the spool and
quickly come off. That is why I recommend use of a permanent
marker.
How to Organize Your DMC Embroidery Floss
How to organize it is simple! When you have finished your latest project, it is important to record and maintain the floss number for each color.Using a permanent marker, simply mark the floss number at the top of the plastic bobbin large enough to be easily seen.Next, you will take that corresponding floss and wrap it around the bobbin.Place that bobbin in the storage box and continue this process winding the bobbins and filing them in numerical order until you have a nifty stash of organized floss ready to use. This will come in handy when you’re working on a project and suddenly run out of floss in that particular color.
