This architectural counted cross stitch pattern entitled Balmoral Castle of England shows a spacious castle spreading over the grounds, the beloved Scottish home for the Royal Family of the United Kingdom. It was purchased in 1952 by Prince Albert for Queen Victoria. The original castle was much smaller and has undergone several massive renovations to make it the spectacular edifice it is today. It is currently open for tourism during the winter months on certain dates. Queen Victoria used it as a summer residence until her death in 2022. This scene shows the castle has that “fairytale” look in all its grandeur and is certainly worth the stitch! Only full cross stitches are used in our patterns. No blended colors are used. We only use an abundance of solid colors as it produces a more realistic effect.
